2023 Season Schedule
We will be closing our dock after September 8, 2023 for the season. We will have a skeleton staff for several weeks helping with closing off the season and leading the remaining tours that are booked. If you are interested in renting or a tour that is not available online, please phone to inquire. If we have staff available, we can probably get you on the water.
Cowichan Bay Kayaking is a resident of Bluenose Marina. There are other part-time and full-time residents of the marina that we care about and are responsible to. Before you come, you need to understand that the marina is not open for walking around and exploring. It is private. If you do not have a booking already, please wait outside the fence and phone us to make your booking or ask any questions you may have over the phone.
If you have a booking with us, you may come down to the fence of the deck at Bluenose Marina. Follow the instructions on the signage while waiting to be escorted down to the Cowichan Bay Kayaking dock. Thank you for your understanding.
From May 21 - September 8, 2023
8:30 am to 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm
(7:00 pm is the latest we will put someone on the water for a rental mid-summer; this gets earlier as we move into Fall.)
We will be restricting our open hours after September 8th, as demand drops considerably; however, some tours and rentals will remain bookable online for at least 48 hours in advance. But if you can't book online, please phone us and we might be able to provide a tour or rental for your timeframe.
Off-season (mid-Sept to mid-May) hours: Our dock is not open regularly and we have limited staff, but advanced bookings may be made for rentals and tours with enough lead time (subject to staff availability).
